The Role
- Set and operate CNC turning centres with Fanuc controls.
- Manufacture precision-engineered components from billets and castings.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Machine a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Select appropriate tooling and cutting tools.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments where required.
- Inspect finished components using micrometers, verniers, gauges and CMM equipment.
- Work to production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
- Follow health & safety procedures and maintain an organised work area.
About You
- A recognised apprenticeship or significant experience as a CNC Turner.
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC lathes.
- Experience working with Fanuc controls.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience machining precision components.
- Confidence using precision measuring equipment.
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
Experience with CNC programming and CMM inspection equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
What's on Offer?
- £18.50 per hour
- 39-hour working week
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am-3:30pm - enjoy an early finish every week!
- Overtime paid at 1.25x hourly rate.
- Productivity bonus (currently averaging 6%, with the opportunity to earn 10%+).
