We are currently recruiting for our client based in Ashford, a well-established organisation operating within a high-value warehouse environment, who are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor to support and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. This role will involve assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with planning, organisation, and supervision of warehouse activities. During periods of absence or holiday cover, you will take responsibility for supervising the entire warehouse operation.
Salary: £31,900 per annum.
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 one week and another 09:30 - 18:00
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient use of staff and space
- Organise warehouse areas to maximise storage and operational efficiency
- Ensure all warehouse procedures are followed, including Goods In, Goods Out, Quarantine, and documentation processes
- Supervise warehouse activities and promptly escalate any issues
- Liaise professionally with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers
- Process customer returns (RMA’s)
- Ensure correct loading and unloading procedures are followed, including:
- Accurate and damage-free loads
- Loads fit for transit
- All driver equipment available
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-value, high-tech warehouse environment (essential)
- Strong IT skills with experience using warehouse management systems
- Proven customer-facing experience with a commercial mindset
- Good people management and leadership skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, proactive, and “can-do” attitude
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Experience in warehouse administration and stock control, including perpetual inventory checks and reporting
- Valid licences preferred: Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Forklift Truck, Powered Pedestrian Truck, and driving licence
