The Role
Soundbox is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead our expansion across the United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market penetration within the construction, commercial interiors, and home furnishing sectors. You will act as the primary ambassador for Soundbox in the UK, managing the full sales cycle from initial lead generation to project completion. This position requires a strategic thinker who can build lasting partnerships with key specifiers—including architects, designers, and main contractors—while delivering tailored acoustic solutions that meet the specific needs of the British market. Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a robust sales strategy to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets across the UK.
- Business Development: Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline of projects within the construction and interiors sectors.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, architectural practices, and enterprise clients.
- Project Leadership: Lead project-based sales opportunities from tender/negotiation through to delivery, ensuring seamless coordination with the global team.
- Market Insight: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales tactics and product positioning.
- Client Care: Oversee customer inquiries and after-sales service to ensure high client satisfaction and foster repeat business.
Person Specification
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Sales Management or Business Development role within the UK construction, interiors, furniture, or building materials industry.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing the full sales cycle, including negotiation and contract management.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable, as you will be liaising closely with our international headquarters.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with UK building regulations (e.g., Part E), procurement processes, and the architectural specification chain is highly desirable.
