RESPONSIBILITIES
As our VFX Artist (FTC) within Soul Assembly, you will be working on the creation of VFX game assets within a close and talented team. Consistency, clarity and flair are key and we expect to see this in your work throughout. We are looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, an excellent communicator, and who always shows high levels of enthusiasm and talent for creating great artwork. You will also be responsible for the creation of fantastic VFX assets for use in our latest VR game in line with the agreed art style guides. Ensure your created assets are optimised for use in our game engines, being particularly mindful of performance and memory constraints. We will offer you to be an active member of the experienced and highly skilled art team, contributing ideas, concepts and technical solutions that will help build great games.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Creation and implementation of VFX throughout an existing shipped title
- Some familiarity with additional DCC tools such as inferno, houdini, cinema 4D
- Experience in Unreal
- Experience implementing VFX beyond creation, with Blueprint experience
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Experience of working with mobile GPUs
- Awareness of the performance caveats and considerations of working with a tiled GPU architecture
- Examples of producing VFX with a comic book aesthetic
- Active player of Mobile/Console/VR games
