Warehouse Supervisor in Tamworth

Responsibilities

• The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for running and coordinating day to day operations.
• Ensuring that the performance of team members is to a high standard.
• Provide management and support to the team.
• Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipts, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
• Co-ordinate, organise, administrate and supervise all staff.
• Having a clear understanding of the Company’s policies, values, vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
• Ensuring stock control systems are followed from GR to GI.
• Organising the training of staff, as well as monitoring performance and progress.
• Ensure all MHE licences and checks are up to date.
• Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
• Maintaining standards of Health & Safety and ensuring security in the work environment.
• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
• Liaise regularly with Management, Administration team and the other departments to ensure all delivery arrangements are accurate.
• Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Manager.

Profile

• Communicate with staff regularly to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
• Ability to motivate, develop and supervise others.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
• Good planning skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient with warehouse procedures.
• Proficient in warehouse management system (SAP preferable).
• MHE experience.
• Organized, punctual, and efficient.
• Comply with the Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
• Assertive, resilient, and welcomes change.
• Is self-aware and optimistic.
• Shows moral courage, openness, and honesty in all dealings.
• Be prepared to be flexible and work within alternating work patterns when necessary.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of 10+ people.
• Experience dealing with blue-chip companies like Kingfisher, Screwfix etc.
