Responsibilities:
- Planning, co-ordinating and monitoring the receipts, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
- Co-ordinate, organise, administrate and supervise all staff.
- Having a clear understanding of the Company’s policies, values, vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Ensuring stock control systems are followed from GR to GI.
- Organising the training of staff, as well as monitoring performance and progress.
- Ensure all MHE licences and checks are up to date.
- Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- Maintaining standards of Health & Safety and ensuring security in the work environment.
- Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
- Liaise regularly with Management, Administration team and the other departments to ensure all delivery arrangements are accurate.
- Report progress updates, key achievements and any concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
- Communicate with staff regularly to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
- Ability to motivate, develop and supervise others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
- Good planning skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient with warehouse procedures.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Proficient in warehouse management system (SAP preferable).
- MHE experience.
- Organized, punctual, and efficient.
- Comply with the Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
- Assertive, resilient, and welcomes change.
- Is self-aware and optimistic.
- Shows moral courage, openness, and honesty in all dealings.
- Be prepared to be flexible and work within alternating work patterns when necessary.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of 10+ people.
- Experience dealing with blue-chip companies like Kingfisher, Screwfix etc.
