THE ROLE
We’re looking for a thoughtful and skilled designer to lead user-centered design across key parts of our digital experience from early discovery to final execution. This role will focus on client-facing products, including e-commerce, auctions, and account management, across both desktop and especially the mobile app.
You’ll work closely with product, design leads, research, and engineering to shape intuitive, elegant workflows that support collectors and buyers of high-end luxury and art. Your design work will help improve how people discover, engage with, and manage high-value items and services across multiple channels.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Uses insights from user interviews, analytics, and usability testing to continuously improve the experience
- Is comfortable running their own usability studies when needed
- Has deep expertise in Figma and a strong foundation in designing for complex transactional flows, especially in e-commerce
This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of the art and luxury market through thoughtful, impactful design that reaches a global audience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with product managers to define clear design goals and priorities.
- Create low-fidelity flows, wireframes, and prototypes to explore and test ideas early.
- Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate and refine solutions.
- Deliver high-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes that work across devices and breakpoints.
- Review and approve design QA to ensure the final product aligns with design intent.
- Help monitor and interpret design performance metrics to guide future improvements.
- Use and actively contribute to the evolution of our design system.
- Partner with design leadership to advance UX maturity and design practices across the organization.
- Engage with other designers through thoughtful critique, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product, UX, and UI design.
- Strong experience working in Figma and delivering end-to-end design solutions.
- A portfolio that showcases design work across both web and mobile applications.
- Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and basic knowledge of technical architecture.
- A strategic mindset—able to translate user needs into thoughtful design approaches and explore multiple ways to solve a problem.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, tell a compelling story, and engage stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit—comfortable working with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, synthesize insights, and iterate on experiences.
- Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to recognize patterns and connect insights from user research, data, or feedback.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a thoughtful and independent approach to driving design forward.
- Experience in e-commerce or complex service design (especially in areas like logistics, multi-channel workflows, or data-heavy systems) is a strong plus.
- Experience designing for Shopify or Ultra Commerce is a strong plus.
