Soteria Consulting is a UK-based firm specialising in workplace and workforce transformation, digital innovation, and strategic growth. We focus on creating human-centered workplace strategies that foster productivity, innovation, and employee well-being in today’s dynamic and hybrid environments. Our tailored solutions empower organisations to adapt to change and thrive in an evolving business landscape. By combining expertise in technology, people development, and strategy, we help businesses achieve sustainable success and innovation.

Soteria is expanding its delivery capabilities to support the build and deployment of secure, highly scalable data collection and reporting platforms. These platforms are designed to serve hundreds of thousands of users across large, federated structures with over 100 distinct entities.

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Service & Interaction Designer to own the end-to-end user experience for these critical platforms. You will bridge the gap between high-level service architecture and detailed interface design, ensuring that highly complex systems remain intuitive, accessible, and user centric.

Responsibilities

  • Service Design: Map the current and future state of complex data collection services, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement across the entire service lifecycle.
  • Service Design: Create comprehensive service blueprints, user journey maps, and personas that account for a highly diverse user base.
  • Service Design: Design the overarching service architecture for federated systems, ensuring local organisational autonomy is balanced with strict central governance.
  • Service Design: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Product Owner to define the minimum viable product (MVP) and subsequent Agile iterations.
  • Interaction Design: Design clear, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces for both data collection journeys and complex, data-heavy reporting dashboards.
  • Interaction Design: Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for rigorous testing during Alpha and Beta phases.
  • Interaction Design: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to best-practice design patterns and high-quality service standards.
  • Interaction Design: Champion inclusive design, ensuring platforms meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA standards and provide a seamless experience for users of assistive technologies and neurodivergent individuals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-glove with User Researchers to integrate findings from Discovery phases directly into your design iterations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Technical Leads and development teams to ensure your designs are technically feasible, secure, and implemented accurately.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Present design concepts and rationales to senior stakeholders, advocating for evidence-based, user-centred design decisions.
  • Service Design Standards: Proven experience working within rigorous service design frameworks and passing formal service assessments.
  • Accessibility Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards and experience designing for users with diverse accessibility needs.
  • Agile Delivery: Extensive experience working in multi-disciplinary Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), participating in sprint planning, and iterating based on user feedback.
  • Prototyping Tools: Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Axure).
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design decisions clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience: Previous experience designing data visualisation dashboards or complex reporting tools.
  • Experience: Experience working on enterprise-level survey, data collection, or employee listening platforms.
