The Report Specialist creates and compiles the company’s final product (report and/or letter) using pre-approved templates to interpret and input data that details the testing performed at Nelson Laboratories, LLC (NL). Also responsible for ensuring the imaging and archival of documents after completion. Balances quality, accuracy and prompt/timely completion of tasks by having a central departmental focus to ensure appropriate consistencies across multiple tests. Required to serve our customers with the highest importance.

General

  • Have adequate knowledge and training to perform job functions
  • Type, review, process, and perform corrections on all final report types
  • Scan documents in accordance with proper scanning procedures
  • Verify that all scanned images are exact and true copies of physical documents
  • Post sponsor final report data and other data to customer portal
  • Send reports by U.S. Mail, email, FedEx, or UPS (when applicable)
  • Prepare letters and preliminary results and raw data, as needed
  • Meet quality expectations of the team (rework)
  • Participate in resource sharing, as assigned
  • Demonstrate NL core values
  • Effectively resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Maintain weekly 5S (cleanliness and organization of space)
  • Complete tasks on time, as assigned
  • Respond to all communications in a timely manner (e.g., customer inquiries, voicemails, emails, etc.)
  • For non-traditional shift, as applicable: Coordinate with supervisor to ensure proper coverage of business hours and workload coverage

  • Recommend applicable process improvements of job and customer service efforts

  • Previous office and customer service experience is preferred
  • For a non-traditional shift, must be fully competent in the basic daily duties of a report specialist

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to spend up to 70-95% of scheduled shift sitting at a desk on a computer and the remaining time standing or walking.
  • This position may require occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.
  • To avoid experiencing symptoms of discomfort, minimal levels of adequate visual skills are necessary, such as: accommodation (eye‑focusing ability: view small details [misplaced period, etc.]) and binocular vision (coordination of both eyes: depth perception).
