A global food processing and packaging solutions organization is seeking a Processing Sales Manager to join its UK & Ireland Processing Sales team and support sustainable, profitable growth across the food industry. This permanent, home-based role involves representing the business across the UK, developing new sales opportunities with selected customers across multiple food categories. Travel to customer sites is expected approximately 30% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop processing equipment and solutions business with selected customers or customer groups within the food industry
- Define customer-specific sales strategies and lead execution
- Understand customer needs and align solutions to meet those requirements
- Clearly articulate, quantify, and communicate value propositions and benefits
- Prepare quotations and present commercial proposals to customers
- Manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools to ensure accurate forecasting
- Negotiate orders, pricing, and commercial terms in line with business-critical requirements
- Maintain strong customer relationships and drive long-term account growth
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or sales management roles
- Background in capital equipment sales within a B2B environment
- Industry experience within dairy, beverage, prepared food, cheese, or plant-based processing preferred
- Strong knowledge of food processing technologies and industrial production environments
- Experience using CRM systems
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage limited resources
