Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional in healthcare or animal health to join a growth company in a critical acceleration phase. As Head of Technical Sales, you will play a pivotal role in creating and growing our new technical sales division. You will work closely with our R&D and operations teams to understand the intricacies of our products and communicate their value effectively to customers. You’ll need to bring a mix of scientific literacy, technical expertise and commercial acumen to create and execute a sales strategy that drives growth across human and animal healthcare markets.

Your core mission will be to deliver cutting-edge technical insights and exceptional service to our clients, initially through early-adopter relationships developing through time toward our full commercial release. You will work across all stages of the sales lifecycle, from lead generation to post-sale support, and help nurture long-term customer relationships that fuel our success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive technical sales strategy to expand our presence in both human and animal healthcare sectors.
  2. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, veterinarians, distributors, and corporate clients.
  3. Market Expertise: Provide deep technical knowledge and insights to clients, ensuring they fully understand the value of our products and services.
  4. Sales Excellence: Take ownership of achieving sales targets, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue growth across diverse healthcare markets.
  5. Collaboration: Partner with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and deliver superior solutions to our clients.
  6. Innovation and Action: Be proactive and adaptive, driving change and continuously seeking innovative ways to improve sales processes, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Experience in Human or Animal Healthcare: You have proven experience in technical sales within human or animal healthcare, with a strong understanding of the industry’s challenges, regulations, and customer needs.
  2. Technical Expertise: A strong technical background in healthcare solutions, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling value propositions.
  3. Positive Attitude: A can-do mindset, with an emphasis on solutions and taking ownership of outcomes. The role will require site visits and hands-on engagement with the customer application.
  4. Bias Towards Action: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, making quick decisions and driving results with a sense of urgency and accountability.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with both internal teams and external clients.
  6. Results-Oriented: A focus on achieving measurable outcomes, whether through sales targets, customer satisfaction, or operational efficiency.

Other Requirements: A full UK or UK-qualifying driving license is essential. The role may potentially evolve to include a significant amount of travel.
