We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Branch Merchandiser to join our dynamic team at Sosandar. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in branch merchandising, looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced, trend-driven environment. The Junior Branch Merchandiser will oversee the management of inventory in our stores and ensure we have the right range in place to maximise sales and drive profitability.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensure optimum levels of stock in store, with replenishment levels protected through regular sales and intake analysis.
- Identify sellouts and excess stock in store, proposing relevant actions to aid sell through and minimise markdown risks.
- Track performance on best-selling and worst-selling lines to ensure opportunities are maximised and sell through managed.
- Track option fulfilment and highlight any risks to management, proposing solutions to any issues.
- Oversee all stock movements in and out of stores including new season launches, replenishment of best sellers, returns to the warehouse and stock movements between branches.
- Oversee the management, support and development of an allocator.
- Work closely with the buying team to plan the correct product assortment and availability for all stores throughout the season.
- Work closely with the wider buying and merchandising teams to ensure season ahead is properly planned and allocated for and any changes to the intake plan are accounted for.
- Work closely with retail leadership and operational teams to deliver the strategy across all branches.
- Regular store visits to assess merchandising standards and better understand areas of success or areas where improvements are needed. Applying learnings from specific branches to other branches, ensuring all stores are cohesive.
- Manage all store’s promotional and markdown activity through our POS system, in line with our trading calendar.
- Conduct weekly trade performance meetings with management, stating key messages and proposing relevant actions and changes.
About you:
- 2 years experience working within branch merchandising
- Strong communicator and able to build relationships both internally and externally
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Proactive and adaptable
