Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
- Own and lead SoSafe’s Database Platform, a business-critical enabler across our products.
- Grow the Database Platform team with a strong focus on ownership and excellence.
- Define future strategy to establish standards, tooling and automation in changing landscape toward micro‑services/micro‑databases.
- Translate company and engineering strategy into a clear, outcome‑driven roadmap, balancing reliability, scalability, compliance and new capabilities.
- Ensure databases are reliable, scalable, observable and cost‑efficient.
- Build strong partnerships with Product and other Platform teams to maximize impact across the organization.

- You have led and grew engineering teams.
- You bring strong people leadership experience and enjoy coaching, developing and growing experienced engineers.
- You’re comfortable leading teams through ambiguity, turning strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
- You have experience running databases in cloud‑native environments, ideally with platforms like PostgreSQL and managed services such as AWS RDS or Aurora (or equivalent solutions on other cloud providers).
- You value reliability and operational excellence as much as feature delivery.
- You think in platforms and products, treating experience squads as your customers.
- You communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
You’re familiar with - or excited to work with - the following areas:
- Designing and running relational database platforms based on PostgreSQL, including managed services such as AWS RDS and Aurora.
- Using GitHub for version control and Infrastructure as Code approaches (e.g. Terraform) to manage cloud and platform resources.
- Evolving a distributed system landscape, including the migration from monolithic architectures to micro‑services and micro‑database setups.
