We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the developmental and educational needs of young children. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in your care.
- Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, organised, and welcoming environment.
- Demonstrate effective leadership by supervising assistant staff and volunteers, ensuring high standards of childcare and education are maintained.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Monitor individual children's needs and adapt activities accordingly to support their personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and behavioural observations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee classroom activities and team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equality.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between different locations or community outreach activities.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A recognised qualification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification).
