Summary: The Business Development Manager (Fibre & Telecom Infrastructure) will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence for our client by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the telecommunications sector.

The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, proven sales experience, and the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the fibre, broadband, and telecom installation markets across the UK.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom operators, infrastructure providers, and technology vendors.
  • Partner with major telecom brands (e. g., Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson) to drive collaboration and business development initiatives.
  • Lead and negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor project and service delivery standards, ensuring installation and network rollout KPIs are achieved.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and potential business opportunities.
  • Coordinate pricing, proposals, and tender submissions in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Prepare business forecasts, sales reports, and pipeline updates for senior management.
  • Mentor and manage the business development team to ensure consistent high performance and motivation.
  • Support continuous improvement through identifying training and development needs within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the telecommunications industry in the UK.
  • Prior experience working with leading telecom companies or vendors such as Nokia, Huawei, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom infrastructure, fibre installation, home installation services, and network deployment projects.
