About the Role

We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist to support the Finance Manager with procurement activities and supplier engagement. You’ll work with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure processes run efficiently, drive cost efficiencies, and improve financial outcomes. This role involves building strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance, analysing data, and identifying opportunities to optimise operations. It’s ideal for someone collaborative, hands-on, and keen to improve systems while supporting our company’s vision and values. This role is primarily 25-30 hours per week, however there is a possibility to increase this to full-time if you have some legal knowledge and are interested in growing your capability around customer and supplier contracts.

What your day will involve:

  • Build strong supplier relationships to get the best pricing, service, and industry insights.
  • Lead procurement initiatives, ensuring policies and processes are followed across the business.
  • Review contracts, rate cards, and commercial terms to support smart decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to keep procurement running smoothly.
  • Drive strategic projects and improvements that boost efficiency and profitability.
  • Track supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to maintain high standards.

About you:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar Procurement role.
  • Previous experience with supplier negotiations and comfortable having difficult conversations.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP Systems.
  • Experience within the Logistics / Supply Chain Industry preferable.
  • CIPS Qualified or working towards preferable.
  • Self-starter with problem solving mindset and able to prioritise own workload.
