The predicted salary is between 42000 - 84000 £ per year.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join the team of an established family, managing their primary residence, an historic property in Central London. In addition to running the property on a day-to-day basis, the role will require front-of-house responsibilities, preparing lunches (and occasional evening meals) for the 2 principals, supervising the full-time Housekeepers, and working closely with the PA and the family office team.
The role is supported by an external property management firm and additional contractors (e.g. caterers) as and when required.
Hours: Monday to Friday; 10am - 6pm (with flexibility when required)
Location: Kensington & Chelsea
Accommodation: Live-in position in neighbouring 2-bedroom terrace house
To start: ASAP
Salary: Up to £70,000 (depending on experience)
Duties may include (but not limited to):
- Liaise with the Family Office to enable a smooth and efficient day to day running of the residence
- Liaising with other staff at the property including gardeners and a PA
- Supervising and managing 2 housekeepers (maybe occasionally assisting with their workload)
- Taking care of the property, fine furniture, artwork, fabrics and special finishes
- Welcoming and taking care of guests
- Setting and laying of tables
- Food and drink service
- Provisioning for the house
- Cooking simple, fresh, healthy meals as required
- Wardrobe management
- Driving errands as required
- Light maintenance tasks like changing lightbulbs, paint touch ups, etc.
- You may be asked to accompany the family when they travel, or travel in advance to prepare for their arrival, so must be happy to travel within the UK and overseas.
