The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR services, ensuring efficient administration across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR team and contributing to the smooth operation of HR processes, maintain accurate employee records, respond to employee and manager queries, and support payroll administration. This role is responsible for providing administrative support across a range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, contract management, benefits administration, and offboarding. The HR Administrator will ensure HR data is maintained accurately and confidentially, coordinate interviews and pre-employment checks, and assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and processes. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering a positive employee experience and supporting a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and processing employee contracts, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage all incoming queries to the internal HR mailbox.
  • Maintain HR-related files such as job descriptions, performance evaluations, and employee records while ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Conduct pre-employment background checks, verifying employment and education history, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Maintain HR-related databases, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees who are leaving the company, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist, HR Manager, and Team managers to assist them in various tasks, such as coordinating onboarding, handling employee relations issues, and managing HR-related projects.
  • Assist in processing payroll and handling payroll enquiries.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle: scheduling interviews, posting job advertisements, and coordinating the recruitment process.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and help coordinate training programs.
  • Liaise with employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Assist in arranging travel bookings for employees and ensuring travel arrangements adhere to company policies and budgets.
  • Any other task assigned by the HR Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Education: HND in Business or HR related course
  • Preferred Education: BA Business/Human Resources or CIPD Level 3/5
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1+ years as a HR Assistant or Administration role
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and Employee Relations is highly desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS
  • Experience in booking corporate travel

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of British Sign Language (advantageous)
  • Experience or awareness of the Deaf Community (advantageous)
