We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Beaconsfield team and take ownership of the commercial management of our high-end residential developments. You will lead the procurement and management of subcontractor packages, oversee budgets, and ensure costs are controlled throughout the build programme.
Your role will include:
- Procuring and placing subcontractor packages in line with the build programme
- Preparing detailed subcontract enquiries, scopes of works and contract documentation
- Analysing returns, negotiating terms and making clear, commercially robust recommendations
- Managing subcontractor payments, variations and contra charges
- Ensuring contracts are placed on agreed terms and conditions
- Attending site meetings and working collaboratively with delivery teams
- Reviewing drawings to ensure proposals are practical, cost-effective and commercially viable
- Providing cost advice to support sales and wider business decisions
- Producing regular cost reporting and full development cost reports

- Strong experience in a similar surveying role within a house builder environment
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent numerical skills
- Great team player
- Good communication skills
- Organised and able to work well in a busy team
