Our Planning Team plays a vital role in driving our developments forward, shaping the strategy behind each site and ensuring that every application we submit is compelling, commercially astute and positioned for success.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Planning Manager to join our Beaconsfield team and lead the planning strategy for our residential developments. You will manage complex planning applications, prepare submissions and appeals, and represent Shanly Homes at Planning Committee meetings. You will also provide planning insights to support land acquisition decisions, guide development strategies, and help unlock the potential of our sites. This is a high-impact role where your strategic thinking, planning expertise, and hands-on delivery directly shape the quality and success of the homes we create.
About you
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline; MRTPI status preferred.
- Proven track record of managing a range of complex planning applications, either with a residential developer or through a planning consultancy.
- Strong understanding of managing developments through the planning and appeal systems, with the ability to develop planning strategies to deliver sites in line with timescales.
- Experience managing relationships with local planning authorities, including officers, councillors and consultees.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance planning strategy with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, confident in presenting to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Well organised and self-motivated, able to manage a diverse workload and multiple projects simultaneously.
