At Sorba, engineering is our core activity. With a team of approximately 40 engineers, we strive to bring architects' ideas to life. Our motto, Surface Creators, reflects our ambition to create unique surfaces that define architectural masterpieces. From the concept stage, we work closely with the architect to find a suitable solution for your project. For complex projects, we use mock-ups. We build a full-scale section of the structure so that we can immediately test our engineers' designs and give you an impression of our solutions. At Sorba, engineering is central.

Role Description

The position we are looking to fill is that of our imminently retiring BDM, with a handover/overlap phase in the near future.

The role is for a remote working Business Development Manager reporting directly to our Commercial Director who is based in The Netherlands, and fully supported by the UK management scheme. Ideally be situated within an hour’s travel of London lending itself to access the London based Architects and Main Contractors to build on and maintain client relationships.

The majority of our projects over the last 30 years have been predominantly in the Midlands and the South.

Please log onto our website Sorba.com to gain an understanding of our scope of work which will confirm that we are exterior and interior façade specialists (Design, fabricate and install), in the commercial and infrastructure sector with façade values from £1M to £25M.

For reference, we were involved in five of the Elizabeth line stations in particular Farringdon, Bond Street and Woolwich stations.

Sorba are not tied to any particular material types, we are a very experienced engineering company (50 years within the industry) with the ability to adapt materials to the client/project needs.

You will have relevant (+10 year) experience within the cladding/façade sector and as is the norm be very familiar with the necessary PQQ systems which is a vital part of the tender process.

Salary package will be in line with the current marketplace and experience.

We are looking for a long term partner who can carry on with our growing success as a façade contractor.
