A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator / Pricing Specialist to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing approximately 30 tenders that are ready to go, ensuring all submissions are accurate, competitive, and commercially robust. This is a hybrid role, with four days in the Bristol office and one day working from home, providing a good balance of collaboration and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review tender documentation, specifications, scopes of work, and pricing schedules
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options
- Ensure compliance with client and framework requirements
- Contribute to bid strategy, margin setting, and commercial reviews
- Maintain tender records, pricing trackers, and estimating documentation
- Assist with post-tender clarifications where required
Person Specification
- Proven experience as an Estimator, Commercial Estimator, or Pricing Specialist
- Background in construction, building, maintenance, or related sectors
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
