Are you a Senior Infrastructure Engineer looking for a move into a role with more responsibility? We are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Site Lead to support one of 3 Infrastructure Hubs for a key account within the business. Reporting into the Infrastructure Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer looking to take the next step in their career. This role offers the successful candidate a chance to be the technical authority on site as well as taking the lead of a small team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background with experience working in physical and virtual servers, VMware and Citrix. This is a hybrid role based out of the Stevenage site with 3 days a week in the office so applicants must be within commutable distance to Stevenage. Due to the nature of the client, we are only able to consider candidates that are eligible for SC clearance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide technical design, implementation and support of infrastructure technologies.
- Be the escalation point and technical authority on site proficient in administration and maintenance of physical and virtual servers.
- Line Management of a small team of engineers and escalation point for other engineers on site.
- Managing incidents and ensuring adherence to agreed SLA’s.
- Coordination across 3 customer sites and providing remote support when required.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of HP Hardware.
- Hands on experience with VMware, Citrix and Windows Server.
- Understanding of Automation and Configuration tech (Ansible experience preferred).
- Experience of working in a project environment.
- Experience within a customer support environment and an appreciation of the impact of problems on the customer business.
