Fantastic opportunity for an expert SharePoint Developer to work on a new project that is groundbreaking! You will provide software development skills at a subsystem level and work as part of a team taking ownership to specify, develop and test the sub-system; also being responsible for varying specialist services which involve the choice and application of diverse processes, systems and techniques. Office based in Farnborough. SC Cleared or eligible for SC.
What you'll be doing:
- SharePoint SME to build SharePoint solutions that are both resilient and fault tolerant, able to fail-over to alternative instances in a secondary datacentre.
- Build workflows and automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, and custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) components.
- Establish lists, libraries, and content types to support business processes and governance requirements.
- Implement secure access and permissions models in line with organisational and MOD/NCSC policies.
- Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure, and legacy systems).
- Customise the SharePoint user experience through modern UI design, scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript), and web part development.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in SharePoint development (Online and/or On-Premise).
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, administration, and configuration.
- Experience developing with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Advanced SharePoint automation techniques for the automation of new SharePoint instances.
- REST APIs and Microsoft Graph.
- Knowledge of Azure AD integration, permissions, and authentication models.
- Understanding of information governance, document management, and metadata design.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps delivery practices.
- Ability to produce clear documentation, including technical designs and release notes.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience working within secure environments (MOD, Defence, Government).
- Knowledge of security accreditation processes or NCSC guidelines.
- Experience in migration tools (ShareGate, Metalogix, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for SharePoint.
