NHS Shared Business Service are seeking a motivated Senior Procurement Manager to join our Strategic Procurement Delivery team. You will collaborate with key internal customers and clients to optimise procurement activities with integrity, safety, and efficiency. We’re looking for driven individuals who can enhance our business’s reputation.
This role spans Health, Construction, Estates, Business Services, and Digital & IT categories, where you’ll lead, develop, and complete procurement strategies in sophisticated supply markets, all while working closely with our customers.

There will be an expectation to spend 2 days a month working in our modern collaborative office in Salford. with the remaining time working from home. There will also be the occasional travel to our client sites.
What you will be doing:
- Leading commercial strategy development for assigned procurements.
- Managing complex, high-value procurement processes (tendering, market engagement, evaluation, contract negotiation).
- Providing customer-focused procurement, innovation, and service design advice to external clients.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal collaborators, external customers, and potential new clients.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to senior customer teams and senior point of advice for internal staff on commercial matters.
- Generating new opportunities, staying informed on industry trends, and supporting the development of procurement managers.
What you will bring:
- Experience of working across various categories of spend.
- Experience of procurement process, scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, contract negotiation, including service level agreements, and management of supplier).
- Experience of working within a UK public sector procurement setting and working experience of UK Public Contracts Regulations.
- CIPS qualified or working towards a qualification.
- Ability and confidence to lead and influence partners.
- Knowledge/ experience of Provider Selection Regime (PSI).

Salary: Up to ÂŁ47,000 per annum
