We are currently recruiting Infrastructure Operations Engineers with a passion for delivering high levels of service and experience that complements the technical excellence already in the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to progress their career as this role puts you in an excellent position to learn, develop, grow and progress within the account and wider business. This role will be hybrid with typically 3 days per week in the office at one of our sites in either Salisbury or Portsmouth. Due to the nature of the client, we are only able to progress with candidates eligible for SC clearance who hold British citizenship.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as an initial point of contact for external and internal customers providing support to end-users and your colleagues.
- Using your technical skills to resolve issues following your training, using standard operating procedures, colleagues and the knowledge base.
- Analysing failures in processes such as backups, alarms, alerts from the monitoring systems and taking ownership to drive them through to resolution.
- Identifying and communicating ideas for improvements in quality and/or efficiency.
- Installing and configuring new equipment across the estate, meeting our end-users and helping them achieve their goals.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent customer service communication skills (both verbal & written).
- IT support skills.
- Microsoft Office suite.
- Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 10.
- Good working knowledge of desktop computing.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical support issues.
It would be great if you had:
- ITIL Operations.
- Active Directory and User Account management.
- Print server management.
- Security patching.
- Working with LINUX operating systems.
- Network configuration and TCP/IP.
- VM Ware administration.
