Are you a talented Project Manager with central BPO service transition experience? Have you supported a complex, multi-faceted transition programme—one that moves in multi-level waves across systems, teams, and stakeholders?
Our Contract Management Transition Team (CMTT) are looking for a number of Project Managers who will play a pivotal role in delivering a major service transition, as either a Deputy Project Manager or leading a key workstream across the programme. In these roles, you will take ownership of a defined workstream within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, collaborating closely with key government clients including the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA), and the Home Office.
You will bring non-technical and core project management experience delivering projects across central services—such as finance and accounting, payroll, human resources (including TUPE), recruitment and customer service—along with the ability to navigate and coordinate delivery across multiple phases and waves of change. You will be conducting a range of senior stakeholder engagement across a range of organisations in a complex programme environment.
We are a supportive and collaborative team that plays a vital role in delivering complex services for our customers. We value balance, wellbeing and a positive working culture where everyone can thrive. This role offers the flexibility to work primarily from home, with occasional visits to one of our Centres of Excellence (Newport, York, Blackpool, Newcastle) and occasional visits to client sites when required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage a defined workstream within the wider transition programme.
- Plan, deliver and monitor workstream activities to time, cost and quality targets.
- Act as a key interface between internal delivery teams and client stakeholders.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change within your workstream, escalating where appropriate.
- Manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost (change control).
- Produce and maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, reports and governance papers.
- Ensure alignment with programme governance, standards and reporting requirements.
- Lead project closure, handover, and post-implementation review.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
- Track progress against milestones and KPIs.
- Manage budgets and finances.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex non-technical transformation or transition programmes.
- Experience working with public sector clients and managing multiple senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of contract management, transition or shared services environments.
- Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-profile programme with multiple dependencies.
- Relevant project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent) preferred.
- Attention to detail while maintaining big-picture focus.
If you’re interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you!
