Are you looking for a role where you can make a real impact by helping an organisation get the very best value from its software? You’ll join a supportive team where you’ll play an important part in keeping our Customers Critical Systems software estate compliant, cost effective and aligned to business & customer needs. You’ll be the go-to person for software licensing, helping Product Owners make informed decisions and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. If you enjoy problem solving, working with detail and spotting opportunities to save money, you’ll fit right in.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of software licences, including procurement, entitlement tracking, renewals and decommissioning.
  • Maintaining accurate records of licence ownership and usage.
  • Using software asset management tools to monitor consumption and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reviewing existing contracts to assess value for money.
  • Analysing usage trends to recommend consolidation or reallocation of licences.
  • Supporting Product Owners with licence management guidance to help them make informed decisions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in a licensing and supply chain procurement environment.
  • Knowledge of software asset management platforms and licence optimisation tools.
  • Ability to undertake or already hold Security Clearance to SC level.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.

It would be great if you had:

  • Certifications in Software Asset Management such as ITIL.
  • Adaptability and confidence working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail when identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience producing clear and accurate reporting.

Location: Hybrid - Gosport 1/2 days per week

Security Clearance Level: SC.

Salary: £30,000–£35,000
