What you'll be doing:

  • Handling complex pension queries and delivering accurate, compliant casework within agreed timescales.
  • Completing and quality-checking pension and payroll calculations to ensure high levels of accuracy and compliance.
  • Acting as a technical specialist, providing guidance, support and training to colleagues.
  • Analysing, maintaining and reporting on pension data to support effective decision-making and data quality.
  • Supporting project delivery through close collaboration with pension, payroll and client stakeholders.
  • Providing technical updates, insights and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in pension administration.
  • Ability to perform complex pension calculations accurately.
  • Strong understanding of pension legislation and its practical application.
  • Ability to explain complex technical information to non-specialists.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of Police Pension Schemes or Civil Service Pension Schemes.
  • Previous payroll experience.
  • A professional pension or payroll qualification.
  • Understanding of the flow of transactions within an integrated HR and payroll system.
