We’re looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Low Side Technician to join our busy and friendly team supporting over 20,000 UK devices across a high-security site in Cheltenham. You will play a key part in securing national infrastructure by keeping mobile devices safe, updated, and accounted for.
This is a perfect entry point for someone with no previous technical experience, but a genuine interest in IT and customer service, and a willingness to learn on the job. You’ll receive full support and training from an experienced team as you build real-world skills in mobile device management, asset control, and service operations.
This role is office based 5 days a week in Cheltenham.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provision, configure and support laptops, tablets, and phones across a secure estate.
- Sanitise, build, track, and distribute devices daily.
- Take ownership of incidents, service requests, and hardware refreshes (approx. 2,000 devices per year).
- Handle administration tasks such as logging assets, updating systems, and coordinating disposal.
- Use mobile device management (MDM) tools to remotely control and update systems.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments and interact with customers every day.
