Are you passionate about using procurement to create real social value and measurable impact for communities across the NHS? This is a pivotal role within our Procurement Solutions team, where you will help shape and embed social value at the heart of everything we do. As our Framework Social Value & Impact Manager, you’ll act as the subject matter expert for social value across our framework portfolio. You’ll work closely with category teams and senior stakeholders to ensure social value is embedded throughout the procurement lifecycle – from early market engagement through to contract management and impact reporting. You’ll play a key role in shaping our approach, building capability across the team, and positioning NHS SBS as a leader in delivering meaningful social outcomes for our customers, communities and the wider NHS.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Acting as the social value subject matter expert across the Procurement Solutions department.
  • Embedding social value and sustainability throughout the procurement lifecycle, including framework design, delivery and contract management.
  • Developing and delivering a clear social value and impact strategy aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Defining metrics and methodologies to measure, track, and report social value and impact outcomes.
  • Leading social value innovation, including systems, tools and approaches that enhance framework attractiveness and uptake.
  • Building capability across Procurement Solutions by leading training, development and engagement on social value.

What you’ll bring:

  • Detailed and up‑to‑date knowledge of the Social Value Act and its application within the public sector.
  • Experience working within a procurement and/or commercial environment, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Proven experience embedding social value into contracts and contract management arrangements.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A track record of delivering end‑to‑end initiatives with clear impact measurement and reporting.
  • Experience using data, performance measures or dashboards to evidence outcomes and impact.

It would be great if you had:

  • A procurement‑related qualification such as CIPS or equivalent.

Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent.

Location: UK wide – once monthly in Salford.

Security Clearance Level: DBS.

Salary: Up to £50,000.

Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.
