Do you want to play a leading role in shaping some of the most important opportunities across the UK public and private sectors? We're looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join our Strategic Sales team, leading complex, high-value pursuits that have real impact. Working alongside senior stakeholders across the UK and Europe, you'll help shape winning solutions for clients spanning Defence, Government, Emergency Services, and Commercial markets. This role is hybrid, with travel to our London office 3 days a week.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the delivery of bids across multiple clients and sectors, producing high-quality submissions to challenging deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Develop and manage bid strategies, plans, and governance throughout the entire bid lifecycle, from qualification through to contract award.
  • Own bid budgets, ensuring effective planning, control, and reporting throughout the pursuit process.
  • Produce, review, and enhance compelling customer proposals, ensuring responses are aligned to customer requirements and win themes.
  • Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary teams, bringing together technical, operational, commercial, and legal experts to develop winning solutions.
  • Support the development of bid capability across the team through coaching, mentoring, and the sharing of bid management best practice.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading complex, high-value bids through the full bid lifecycle, with a strong track record of securing business in competitive markets.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to energise and coordinate multi-disciplinary bid teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering technology-enabled or business process outsourcing solutions, including working with partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Commercially minded, able to contribute to opportunity qualification, win strategies, solution development, and commercial discussions.
  • Skilled in producing compelling, high-quality written responses and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders, including Executive and CxO-level leaders.
  • Highly organised and delivery focused, with experience managing large-scale opportunities, balancing multiple priorities, and working to challenging deadlines.

It would be great if you had:

  • Member of Bid Management professional body e.g. Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
  • Experience of Shipley bid management best practice.
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector market.
