We're looking for a Lead Salesforce Engineer to join our new, rapidly growing Salesforce practice within Sopra Steria. These are rare opportunities to help shape innovative Salesforce solutions within highly regulated environments, working on platforms that support customer management, compliance processes and complex data governance.

Working within a complex enterprise landscape, you'll contribute to innovative platform improvements, shape technical standards and help create solutions that deliver real value for customers and stakeholders.
These are hybrid roles with an expectation to work from our London office 2 to 3 days per week.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across multiple Agile Scrum teams and complex delivery initiatives.
- Developing, reviewing and supporting Salesforce implementations including Apex, Lightning Web Components and integrations.
- Translating business requirements into secure, maintainable and high-performing Salesforce solutions.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers to drive engineering excellence and code quality.
- Contributing to architecture decisions, solution design workshops and technical roadmap activities.
- Driving innovation through adoption of modern Salesforce capabilities, Artificial Intelligence technologies and engineering best practice.
What you'll bring:
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development expertise, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and platform configuration.
- Experience designing, developing and delivering Salesforce solutions within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud and Salesforce platform architecture principles.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems, applications and services.
- Knowledge of secure software engineering practices, automated testing and code quality standards.
- Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer, Application Architect or System Architect, and experience working within Agile, product-focused delivery teams.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience working within public sector, financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence capabilities and emerging Salesforce innovations.
- Experience with Copado DevSecOps tooling.
- Experience supporting technical capability development through mentoring and coaching.

How to prepare for a job interview at Sopra Steria
✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills
For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.
✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks
Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
