Are you ready to start a career in consulting within Aerospace, Defence and Security (ADS), applying your defence experience in a new way?

Our growing ADS Consulting team is looking for a Junior Consultant to join us.

This role is ideal if you’ve worked in the defence sector, including those who have served in the Armed Forces or are transitioning into civilian careers, and want to build a career in consulting.

You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, working with clients across the UK to solve real business challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes.

This is a generalist consulting role, giving you the chance to develop a broad range of skills while working across different projects and environments.

This role includes hybrid working, with an expectation to be onsite 2–3 days per week in London, Bristol, or at client locations across the UK as required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior team members to deliver consulting assignments across defence and security clients.
  • Contributing to a range of project activities, including research, analysis, and problem‑solving.
  • Working with clients to understand challenges and help shape practical, deliverable solutions.
  • Supporting delivery of business and technology change across a variety of programmes.
  • Building your consulting capability through hands‑on experience and structured development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Key Qualifications
  • Experience working within the defence sector or having served in the Armed Forces.
  • A strong interest in developing a career in consulting and delivering client outcomes.
  • An ability to analyse information and contribute to problem‑solving activities.
  • Confidence working in new environments and adapting to different client settings.
  • Good stakeholder awareness and ability to build professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for producing clear and structured outputs.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous exposure to consulting or project‑based work.
  • Knowledge of digital, communications, networking, or defence capabilities.
  • Experience supporting change or improvement activities within a defence environment.
  • Awareness of how defence organisations operate and deliver programmes.
  • Security clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Interest in working across a variety of industries and project types.

Security Clearance Level: SC and eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV).
