Join a team of infrastructure professionals delivering and supporting secure messaging and infrastructure platforms operating within highly classified environments. Based on site in Hemel Hempstead you'll play a key role in building, transitioning and supporting services that underpin critical Defence and national security outcomes. This is a varied infrastructure engineering role rather than a traditional support position. - Experience supporting Wintel and server-based environments within complex enterprise infrastructures.
- Broad infrastructure knowledge across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Linux and networking technologies.
- Experience working across multiple infrastructure technologies rather than a single technical specialism.
- Knowledge of infrastructure support, system administration and platform maintenance activities.
- A proactive approach to taking ownership of work and delivering against objectives.
It would be great if you had:
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes and practices.
- Accreditation to MCP level or equivalent.
- Experience of Infrastructure-as-Code or server infrastructure automation concepts.

✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills
For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.
✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks
Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. ✨Prepare for Behavioural Questions
While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
