Looking for an exciting opportunity partnering with training providers and rolling out L&D service delivery within the organisation? Reporting to the Head of HR Shared Service Delivery, the key objective of this role is to lead the Learning and Development Support Team to provide comprehensive administrative and service delivery support. This support will be aligned to the requirements of the business, Learning and Development leaders within the organisation as well as The People Hub HR function.

Hybrid role working out of our Newcastle office 3 days per week (Tuesday – Thursday).
What you will be doing
- People Management & Team Leadership
- Lead a small L&D Support team with line management responsibility for four direct reports.
- Identify process improvements and document process diagrams ensuring processes meet the needs of all customers.
- Training
- Lead all administrative and technical aspects of the Learning Management System, including uploading content, testing, assigning, maintaining, and reporting on learning content.
- Work with L&D leaders to maintain LMS inventories (course catalogue) and optimise for LMS reporting.
- Reporting
- Work closely with the MI team, L&D leaders, and the L&D team to ensure up-to-date data is provided in the required timeframes.
- Work closely with the relevant Finance Manager(s) on data reporting in respect to costings and recharging, including the apprentice levy.
- Engagement / Collaboration
- Coordinate and project‑manage community engagement initiatives.
- Develop close and effective relationships with the Learning and Development Teams.
- Other
- Provide support for additional ad hoc tasks and projects within the People & Culture department.
- Utilise and share best practice and process within the People Hub team.
What you’ll bring
- A service‑oriented mindset with proven delivery of exceptional quality customer service.
- A hands‑on, solutions‑focused individual with LMS experience (preferably Cornerstone) to support all aspects of maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the company’s core platform.
- Experience working in Learning and Development with LMS/MOOC configuration.
- Experience analysing LMS content to enhance meetings with L&D leaders.
- Previous line management experience, ideally within Learning and Development.
- Good data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Curious and driven to solve customer and business challenges in learning and development.
- A self‑starter with a desire for action and operational efficiency, including automation and self‑service tools.
Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne – 3 days in office Tuesday – Thursday
Security Clearance Level: SC clearance
