We are seeking an individual who thrives on problem-solving, plans and prioritises tasks to stay on track, pays meticulous attention to processes, and is at ease with using IT systems. Join our team as a Junior Accounting Analyst and take ownership of a portfolio of clients, where you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate billing and timely payments. From regular debt calls to hands-on invoice quality checks, you’ll gain valuable experience in client relationship management, financial reconciliation, and operational improvement — all while working alongside experienced professionals who’ll support your development.

This is a hybrid variable role requiring office presence in our Manchester office 1 – 2 times per month.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing key account customers in relation to invoicing and debt collection.
  • Ensuring client billing and reporting is done to agreed deadlines and schedules.
  • Reconciliation of financial data of key accounts.
  • Working with business partners to respond to client queries.
  • Working to improve processes across multiple SSCL teams.

What you’ll bring:

  • Recent 2.1 or above graduate looking for an entry role into finance or someone in the latter stages of AAT.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, accounting policies, measurement rules, and business controls.
  • Analytical capability, the ability to meet deadlines, attention to detail by following set guidelines, and confidence using IT systems — especially Excel!
  • Ability to juggle workload under tight deadlines and prioritise accordingly.

Salary: Up to £28250
