Lead cloud security operations and shape the future of secure, scalable services across a transforming IT estate. We are seeking a Cloud Security Manager to lead the Security Operations Administration Team and oversee the performance, improvement, and delivery of key Cloud Security processes and value streams. Reporting to the Head of the Service Management Office, this role will ensure alignment with strategic goals, drive operational efficiency, and support the transformation of the IT estate, including new Security Management services and a move towards Cloud and DevOps environments. This role will be hybrid working with 2 days a week on site.
What you will be doing
- Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT Security and Access Management processes, ensuring alignment with Security Architecture and JSP guidance.
- Act as SOC liaison and escalation point, review policies, approve use cases and security-related IT changes, and ensure processes and tooling comply with standards.
- Define, monitor, and report on KPIs, using data-driven insights to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with SOC, AMO, Product Managers, MOD security representatives, and internal teams, embedding security in cloud services and incorporating customer feedback.
- Establish and maintain SLAs for new solutions, manage process issues, and support major incident resolution with Product Managers.
- Lead the Access Management and Service Operations Administration teams, manage resource allocation, and drive continual improvement initiatives across processes.
What you will bring
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on cloud security.
- Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or GCP Cloud Security Engineer.
- Good understanding of cloud architecture, security frameworks, and ISO 27001 standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate across all organisational levels.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex security concepts clearly.
