A traditional IT Analyst role that specialises in Asset Management, including Software, Hardware and License Management. Managing and taking ownership of all change/problem/incidents associated to Asset Management and maintaining the Configuration Management Database and all assets that reside within it. You will join our Aerospace, Defence and Security team in Gosport, working on site five days a week. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where accuracy and curiosity are valued. In this role, you will help maintain and improve our Asset and Configuration Management processes, working with colleagues and partners to keep systems reliable and up to date. It is a chance to learn, grow and make a real difference to how we manage software, hardware and licences across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning and managing change, incident and problem records relating to Asset Management through to resolution.
- Investigating issues based on impact and driving them to resolution or error identification.
- Maintaining the Configuration Management Database and ensuring asset data stays accurate.
- Supporting major incident activity and contributing to root cause identification.
- Analysing trends across changes, problems and incidents to recommend improvements.
- Reviewing implemented actions to ensure objectives have been met.
What you’ll bring:
- Knowledge of ITIL service management processes and practices.
- Strong understanding of software, hardware and licence management.
- Experience using MS Office tools at an intermediate or advanced level – particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience of working in an IT environment.
- Experience in a similar role, specialising in Asset Management.
It would be great if you had:
- Microsoft MCP qualification or equivalent.
- Recognised ITIL Foundation Computer Sciences Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience with service management tools, techniques and methods – particularly ServiceNow and GitLab.
- Experience working as a Service Analyst in small to medium service management environments.
