Join to apply for the Senior Software Engineer role at Sopra Steria in Farnborough. We are rapidly growing our SharePoint team and are looking for strong coding and administration experience to provide software development skills at a subsystem level and work as part of a team.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining SharePoint solutions.
- Creating and configuring SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts.
- Developing custom forms and templates using tools such as InfoPath and SharePoint Designer.
- Providing technical support for SharePoint users.
- Maintaining SharePoint security and access controls including fineāgrained security (FGS) permissions.
- Monitoring SharePoint performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Managing SharePoint infrastructure throughout the life of the capability, including maintaining patch/updates.
- Recovering the SharePoint services in the event of planned or unplanned outages.
- Experience working with tooling.
- Produce software component designs and specifications.
- Create test data and testing environments for unit and link testing.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in SharePoint development (Online and/or OnāPremise).
- Focus on BackāEnd SharePoint development.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint, administration, and coding.
- Experience developing with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Advanced SharePoint automation techniques for the automation of new SharePoint instances.
- REST APIs and Microsoft Graph.
- Knowledge of Azure AD integration, permissions, and authentication models.
- Understanding of information governance, document management, and metadata design.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps delivery practices.
- Ability to produce clear documentation, including technical designs and release notes.

- Salary: Up to Ā£55,000
