Are you looking for your next career move as an Assessment Officer, where you can support people, build valuable skills, and be part of a fast-paced digital environment? Transformative Business Services (TBS) works with some of the largest Government and Public Sector clients in the UK, delivering high-quality recruitment support services that help shape future talent.

We are looking for confident, tech-savvy individuals to join a dynamic and fast-paced assessment delivery team. You will play a key role in delivering live, online assessments using platforms such as Sova and Microsoft Teams, managing multiple channels and supporting candidates throughout the process. Strong IT skills are essential, as you will be working across several systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

You will be supported from day one with a comprehensive two-day training programme, followed by hands-on shadowing with an experienced mentor to help you build confidence and capability. Everything you need from scoring guidance to scripts is fully integrated into the Sova platform, with clear processes in place to ensure consistency and quality.

This role suits individuals with strong organisational skills, excellent timekeeping, and an understanding of behavioural and strengths-based assessments. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy working with technology, and are committed to delivering a high-quality candidate experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you need to know:

  • Full-time, 24-month fixed-term role.
  • Candidates must be based within commuting distance of Newport, Wakefield or Croydon.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring regular on-site attendance (approximately once per month).
  • Please note this is not a flexible location role, and travel expenses for office attendance are not covered.
  • Working patterns are aligned to assessment schedules.
  • This role requires experience in assessment delivery (e.g. recruitment, interviewing, or structured candidate assessment).
  • Full training provided on systems including SOVA and MS Teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Facilitating and delivering professional online assessments, interviews, and role play exercises in line with structured assessment frameworks.
  • Supporting candidates throughout the process, ensuring a positive, fair, and consistent assessment experience.
  • Accurately recording assessment outcomes while ensuring all sessions are delivered on time and to required standards.
  • Providing technical support to candidates and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth end-to-end assessment delivery.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience evaluating individuals against defined criteria and making objective, evidence-based decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to put people at ease.
  • High attention to detail and confidence following structured processes.
  • A calm, professional approach in a busy, people-focused environment.
  • Confidence using digital platforms.
  • A team-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience using SOVA or similar assessment platforms.

What's in it for you?

  • Full training and ongoing development to support your career growth.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
  • The opportunity to work with high-profile public sector clients.
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment where you can develop your skills.

If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we are looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you!

Although this role is advertised as full-time, we believe that flexibility at work can promote work/life balance, increase your motivation, reduce stress and improve performance and productivity. We support different ways of working and can offer a range of flexible working arrangements. So, if you're interested and need to work flexibly, we encourage you to apply and talk to us about what might be possible.
