Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking for a new, progressive opportunity? Sopra Steria are currently recruiting for a Collaboration Services Engineer to join a team working on unique projects within the defence sector. We would be looking for individuals with existing technical experience working in a 1st or 2nd line support role in an enterprise environment with accompanying stakeholder management skills. You will be tasked with ensuring our products are secure, scalable, resilient, and optimised to meet business and operational requirements. This role would be based on site in the office in Farnborough. Due to the nature of the projects we are working on, we are only able to progress with candidates eligible for DV clearance.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting in diagnosing and resolving technical issues and problems within the scope of the Collaboration Services function
- Produce and maintain design artefacts, such as LLDs, Release Notes, service-related failover, and disaster recovery instructions.
- Support the technical aspects of formal change control processes and related activities.
- Support the Engineering Leadership and the Technical and Solution Architecture teams by researching recommended practices and evaluating approved and emerging technologies.
- Apply technical expertise to improve solution quality and enhance the customer experience.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working within an IT Support or similar technical environment
- An understanding of the key technologies associated with the role including Cisco Unified Communication, Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint
- Good stakeholder management and engagement experience
