An exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team. You will be responsible for financially supporting one of our key client contracts, including revenue generation, financial period closes, variance analysis, internal costing, budgeting and forecasting, and business partnering with the MD/CFO and other key operational stakeholders. A key part will be working directly with senior stakeholders such as heads of departments and Directors, providing insightful and useful analysis.
The ideal candidate will be analytical, have impeccable attention to detail, be self-driven with the ability to build relationships with high-level stakeholders. The role would ideally be suited to a nearly or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/etc professional body qualification) who is looking to utilise management accounting experience to business partner senior stakeholders. This is a hybrid variable role requiring office presence in our Salford office 1 – 2 times per month.
What you will be doing:
- Financially support/business partner MD/CFO/Senior FM.
- Monthly close on a timely, accurate and professional basis (Monthly accounting adjustments/Variance analysis commentary/Forecasting).
- Manage revenue recognition of a key client service contract and additional charges.
- Update key financials P&L of a key client service contract and operational departments.
- Manage P&L forecast updates.
- Attend regular meetings with key operational leads to review performance.
- Produce cost/benefits analysis of various internal business cases.
- Develop and maintain financial models.
What you’ll bring:
- Nearly or newly Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA, etc).
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience in management accounts (Forecasting/Variance analysis/Performance reporting etc).
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with complex information and present it in a clear format.
- Motivated, driven and keen to progress career.
- Confidence to challenge where numbers don’t look right.
- Flexible and adaptable to cope with a fast-paced environment in a large organisation.
