We\’re looking for a passionate, driven professional to lead high-stake, strategic bids that directly influence the future of our business.
As a Senior Bid Manager, you’ll lead strategic, high-value sales bids, driving collaboration across diverse teams and delivering under pressure with precision and confidence.
Your expertise will be pivotal across a diverse range of projects and bids, spanning Government Departments inclusive of Defence, Emergency Services, and the Private Sector. Our solutions range from small scale consultancy projects to large scale IT enabled business process services; the ideal candidate will have experience of working on and winning bids covering a similar range.

What you will be doing:
- Responsible for delivering bids, confidently, to multiple clients and external audiences, within fixed timelines.
- Developing bid plans in liaison with the sales lead and solution owner and be responsible for running them through to conclusion
- Develop and coordinate bid budgets.
- Write and edit/review customer proposal documents.
- You will matrix manage/lead a team of subject matter experts, including technology, business process, commercial and legal authorities and provide sales process advice & guidance when required.
- At times will be asked to mentor junior team members to support in their development and experience of the bid management process.
What you will bring:
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead small to large bid teams.
- Demonstrable Bid Management experience, working across all stages of the entire bid process with a successful record of accomplishment, winning bids in a competitive market.
- Has worked on complex bids for a business process technology organisation, involving the use of third parties and / or partners.
- Can provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution design.
- Has undertaken Bid Management roles for opportunities for multi-millions of pounds with large teams.
- Highly competent in use of MS Office tools and Project Planning software.
- Experience with bidding custom solutions, with an ability to think outside of the box.
- Experience of working with CXO level management in a large corporate environment.
It would be great if you had:
- Member of Bid Management professional body e.g. Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP)
- Experience of Shipley bid management standard methodology
- Knowledge of the Public Sector market
