Join this established Cyber team on a large Defence site, working within the Security Services environment whilst also performing administration duties across Windows and Linux based Server Infrastructure, Security Appliances, Network Infrastructure, Virtual Environments and Storage. This is an opportunity to become involved in the world of Defence and Science where no 2 days are the same.
Initially you will be based on site in Portsmouth OR Salisbury for the first 8 weeks whilst you learn this account. After that you will be on site 2 days per week.
You do need to be eligible for DV Clearance please.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Responding to ServiceNow incidents.
- Resolve e-mail and web browser issues.
- POI Investigations.
- Handling and maintaining an on prem Splunk solution.
- 3rd/4th line Network Issues.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in managing and maintaining Splunk solution.
- 3rd/4th line Network Security experience support . in an Enterprise environment working to challenging SLAs.
- Advanced Firewall and Proxy administration (to include install, configurations and fault finding).
- Recent experience of working within security environments.
- Understanding of Networks, Routers, DMZ and Switches.
- Extensive Core Linux Or MS Windows administration skills.
- Experience of VMware vSphere virtualisation systems.
- Good understanding and ability to perform root cause analysis across a range of protocols and topologies (TCP/IP, HTTP
& HTTPS, SMTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, X500) . - Knowledge of ITIL (ITIL Foundation certificate or experience working in ITIL environments).
- Previous experience of project delivery & implementation of detailed designs.
- Knowledge of MoD, CESG and other mandated government IT legislation.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional or other security certification
