Are you a top tier Configuration Manager interested in a unique role within the aerospace and defence industry? CIMPA is currently recruiting a Configuration Manager for a growing team providing solutions for clients in the exciting aerospace, defence and security sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with existing Configuration and Change Management skills looking to join a team going through a period of sustained growth. With the role comes fantastic opportunities for learning and development as well as progression up the ladder. Another key part of this role is involvement in Product Lifecycle Management; any experience you may have with Windchill would be a huge benefit to your success. In this role you will have the opportunity to grow, progress and learn while working within hugely exciting fields within Defence and Aerospace and helping the growth into other sectors such as F1. Please note due to the nature of the clients we work with we are only able to progress with UK nationals eligible for SC clearance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the customer on maintaining the baseline product structure.
- Control the evolution of technical data, liaising with the Change Review Board/Change Control Board.
- Provide business operational support on Change Management tools.
- Co‑ordinate Change Management Project elements (Business case preparation and validation, delivery management...etc.)
- Prepare, run/facilitate workshops to drive As‑Is & To‑Be analysis.
- Support To‑be Process definition and define new ways of working with Business stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
- Engineering background within Aerospace, Defence or similar industries.
- The ability to understand engineering design, drawings, BOM, technical change processes.
- Experience of Configuration & Change Management know‑how.
- Experience with PLM systems (Preferably Windchill) & engineering design.
- Experience managing a complex structure.
