About the role
Do you have a proven track record working in IAM Engineering? Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence and Security sector are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior IAM Engineer to support the delivery of IAM strategy for a flagship account within the business. This role is pivotal for the team in both general IAM ticketing activities and high‑profile projects in the aerospace industry. The role is based in the Newport office, approximately four days per week, and is available only to British nationals eligible for SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the IAM Team with an engineering focus (approximately 80% hands‑on, 20% leadership).
- Serve as the focal point for any escalations within the team.
- Provide customer focus through a mixture of general IAM ticket activities.
- Support project activities with direct involvement in unique large‑scale, one‑of‑a‑kind projects seen across Europe.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Exchange 2010/2016 or similar.
- Understanding of Forefront Identity Management (FIM) and Microsoft Identity Management (MIM).
- Experience with Exchange CUs.
- Strong grasp of group policies (GPO).
- Knowledge of Mail AV/SPAM – Trend IMSVA.
- Experience monitoring Exchange and Active Directory services.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi‑Forest scale.
- Experience with Single Sign‑On/PKI.
- Good understanding of Group Policy (AD).
