Overview

We are looking for a passionate recruitment professional to join our in‑house recruitment team in Newport. This full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract will be based 2 days per week at the office, with the remainder remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, resourcing and HR teams as a trusted partner.
  • Screen, interview and assess high volumes of candidates, delivering quality shortlists and insights to hiring managers.
  • Manage multiple recruitment campaigns to ensure a smooth, efficient candidate experience.
  • Develop relationships with clients and collaborators to support long‑term service delivery and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and contribute to service improvements.
  • Use data and insights to support decision making and improve time‑to‑hire metrics.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering recruitment services in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to handle high‑volume recruitment activity while maintaining quality outcomes.
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and building effective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, using data to support recruitment decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of workload.
  • Experience working within a recruitment environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using online Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience recruiting within a UK Government environment.
  • Understanding of the Government Shared Services model.

Benefits

£27,781 per annum salary. 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, health cash plan, life assurance and pension.
