Join us as a Lead Business Analyst in a full-time, permanent role, where you'll guide high-impact projects, drive clarity across large-scale programmes and help shape the direction of our Business Analysis community. This is a senior opportunity where you'll coordinate teams, provide expert consultative input and define clear statements of work and deliverables, all while contributing to a supportive, knowledge-sharing practice. You'll generally work remotely, but you may need to travel occasionally for client meetings or project needs. This role requires you to hold SC clearance before you can start.
Responsibilities
- Leading the definition of project scope, statements of work and deliverables, ensuring alignment across clients, teams and business goals.
- Coordinating and guiding teams of business analysts on large-scale assignments, including effective resource planning and quality assurance.
- Acting as the senior link between clients and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are understood and translated into clear, scalable solutions.
- Providing high-level consultative expertise to shape business cases, solution options and strategic recommendations.
- Overseeing the delivery of analysis activities in line with agreed time, quality and financial measures.
- Supporting business development activity, including contributing to proposals, pre-sales work and building strong client relationships.
What you'll bring
- Current SC clearance or, at a minimum, eligibility for SC.
- Extensive experience operating as a Lead Business Analyst on complex, multi-disciplinary programmes.
- Expertise in advanced business analysis techniques, including requirements engineering, process modelling and the creation of detailed documentation.
- Strong understanding of delivery methodologies and practices, with experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Proven ability to develop scalable, end-to-end business solutions in complex settings.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, communicate complex ideas clearly and build trusted relationships.
Nice to have
- Experience working within government or public-sector settings.
- Knowledge of strategic planning, risk management or organisational design.
- Experience contributing to or coordinating testing and validation activities.
- Familiarity with quality assurance principles and ensuring consistency in deliverables.
- Experience supporting junior team members through coaching or mentorship.
- Relevant Business Analysis certifications, such as BCS practitioner or professional level modules.
