Role Overview

Are you ready to play a critical role in ensuring the success of complex HR, Finance, and Payroll system transformations across a dynamic project portfolio?

Our team of Test Analysts works with a range of government clients supporting their change requests on multiple HR and payroll platforms, including Oracle Fusion, Oracle e Business, Workday, and others.

They create test plans and execute all necessary testing for change requests, including regression testing of Critical Patch Release (CPR) and quarterly releases.

The team also responds to live incidents on the various platforms, providing expert support and guidance to colleagues.

This role will be predominantly based from home with visits to the Newcastle office on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the flexibility to attend more often if you desire.

Due to the nature of releases and live support, there is an expectation of unsocial hour working, including weekend acceptance testing.

A rota system may be used to distribute out‑of‑hours work among the team, with the manager responsible for ensuring coverage and sign‑off.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate extensive technical knowledge of Oracle and other systems that include HR, Payroll, Pensions, i Expenses, CRM and core functionalities.
  • Perform regular testing of patches from Oracle Fusion and e Business, ensuring system updates do not disrupt operations.
  • Assist delivery teams with systems support and guidance.
  • Respond to live incidents on the various platforms, taking ownership and working to resolve them as soon as possible.
  • Work closely with colleagues across service lines to investigate issues, clarify root causes, and implement long‑term solutions.
  • Analyse and manipulate data using tools like Excel and Access.
  • Provide extensive background working in a testing environment.

Qualifications

  • In‑depth knowledge, from a testing perspective, of systems such as Oracle e‑Business, Oracle Fusion, SOP, SAS solutions, Metis, and Workday.
  • Previous experience in test execution including HR and Payroll systems.
  • Ability to investigate live issues and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Equal Opportunity

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation or marital status.

We participate in the Disability Confident scheme and are committed to offering an interview to any candidate with a disability, who meets the minimum criteria for the role.
